Good Condition, Plate is undamaged but has slight signs of age. 

Originally designed by Christopher Dresser in 1878, this teapot is a testament to the enduring modernity of his work. Crafted in electroplated metal with an ebonized wooden handle, it reflects the bold geometry and functional clarity that define Dresser’s approach. Original examples are held in the British Museum and the V&A.

Christopher Dresser (1834–1904), one of the most important British designers of the nineteenth century, believed " (an industrial designer) should be an artist in every sense of the word, yet he should be a utilitarian also. He should be able to perceive the utmost delicacies and refinements of artistic forms, yet he should value that which is useful for the very sake of its usefulness.” Radical at the time of its creation and produced only in limited prototype form, the design was later reissued, with this example dating to the 1970s. Its strikingly modern form remains as compelling today as it was over 140 years ago.
